Vaccine for children under 12 years against Covid-19 is at the doorstep

The hope of stopping the wave of infections in minors could be seen very soon, when the Food and Drug Administration (FDA for its acronym in English) approve a pandemic vaccine for emergency use in children between the 5 Y 11 years.

This situation that has teachers, Parents and students in suspense due to the rapid contagion caused by the Delta variant could speed up the authorization of the vaccine.

El Texas Children’s Hospital, considered one of the best in the region, leads trials to procure a vaccine for children under 12 years as soon as possible.

Mark A. Wallace, President and CEO of said children's hospital, said that “we recognize the profound and encouraging truth that getting vaccinated against COVID-19 is safe, effective and the main mechanism to combat this pandemic ".
