Emergency System 911 of El Salvador received 3 million calls false

The emergency system in El Salvador, one of the Central American countries with high rates of violence, he received a round of 3, 000,000 of false emergency calls during 2019, This was confirmed by the National Civil Police (PNC) Salvadoran.

According to official data, between 80 and the 85 percent of the calls received were false police, performed by adults and children.

This means that of the total calls answered, about 500 thousand corresponded to requests for assistance that really require prompt attention, "Called real immediate response by the patrols deployed nationwide", said Deputy Inspector Carlos Alas, shift supervisor of the Division of Emergency 911.
