Earthquake in Peru leaves at least one dead

An earthquake 7,5 degrees that shook the region of Loreto in Peru, He had a depth of 110 kilometers and its epicenter was 81 Lagunas kilometers in Alto Amazonas.

The movement was reported at two in the morning with 41 minutes, local time, according to information released by the Geophysical Institute of Peru.

Officially recognized 51 affected families, more than a dozen people injured and at least one dead, the latter by the release of a rock in the northern Peruvian Andes. The victim was identified as Danilo Muñoz, of 48 year old.

At the time of the earthquake, the population left their homes to the streets in Lima, plus power outages were reported in several Amazonian cities.

Center National Emergency Operations also reported on his Twitter account on collapse of old houses in the town of Yurimaguas.

In Peru earthquakes are frequent, as the country is in the Pacific Ring of Fire, an arc of seismic and volcanic activity.
