The association the Voice of Salvadorans in Spain based in Madrid held an emotional event in commemoration of the 198 years of independence.

The organization since its inception ago 7 years celebrates this type of event in order to unite the Salvadoran community that for some reason has left the land where they were born and especially that they can live and feel the patriotic fervor.

The event began with typical dances of our country, as “The Carbonero”, “The Blue Hat” Y “in Cojutepeque”. About 200 people were present, an audience that sang and delighted to the sound of music.

As in any celebration where Salvadorans are, could not miss the typical food of our country, where locals and foreigners tasted delicious pupusas and a delicious horchata soda.

The commemorative act was attended by the staff of the Embassy of El Salvador in Spain, among them the Consul General, who stated that “these types of celebrations should not be forgotten, even if you are outside of El Salvador, and that it should always be kept in mind and in our hearts that we are part of it”.

It is worth mentioning that this ceremony was joined by the community of Honduras, based in Spain and in a single brotherhood were celebrated 198 years of the Independence of Central America with the motto: “Towards Central American integration in Spain”.
