The vaccine developed by the University of Oxford and AstraZeneca, in the United Kingdom, lit today, a new light of hope for the world, being approved for immediate use.

The vaccine arrives in the midst of the crisis due to the discovery of a variant of the coronavirus that, according to experts, spreads faster than previously discovered strains.

The vaccine shows between a 50% and a 70% effectiveness, according to its creators and this could begin to be distributed in a few hours.

UK registered 50 a thousand new infections and 981 deaths until this wednesday, as reported by international media.

Everything indicates that this strain is responsible for at least 60% of the last infections in the United Kingdom.

Scientists warned, weeks ago, that the new variant is transmitted faster than other previously detected COVID-19.

Meanwhile, The United States already registers two infections related to the new strain.

One of the cases was reported in Colorado while the second in California.

In both cases, according to authorities these are new patients, who had never contracted the disease and would not have traveled to other countries either.

In the midst of the galloping increase in infections, States like Texas, California, Colorado and Arizona, among others from the American Union, made calls to avoid year-end celebrations.
