Federal immigration agents raided several food processing plants in Mississippi, shutting down 680 workers, mostly Hispanic, which already it qualifies as the largest anti-immigration operation the last ten years.

The operation was carried out the same day President Donald Trump visited El Paso, Texas, America region inhabited by majority and was hit over the weekend by shooting a white supremacist in a manifesto expressing their hatred for Latinos.

Immigration authorities raided meatpacking plant Koch Foods Inc. chicken, one Morton, a 64 kilometers of Jackson, arresting more than 600 employees and taking them to a military hangar.

Several friends and relatives of the detainees came to the place to say goodbye to them.

For workers who confirmed there were legal residents exhaustive reviews and interrogations.

ICE operation was in the towns of Jackson, Bay Springs, Carthage, Canton, Morton, Pelahatchie y Sebastapol, where more than 600 agents enter to inspect companies which are suspected to hiring illegal migrants.
