Panama celebrates 198 years of independence and called to honor the country 'uncorrupted'

Panama commemorated on Thursday 198 years of independence from Spain with civic acts and a special called Laurentino Cortizo president of the society “Patria do without corruption”.

The main events took place in Panama West where Cortizo handed the national flag to the exgrandes leagues and more closer in the history of baseball, Mariano Rivera, hails from the fishing village of Puerto Caimito in La Chorrera.

“We are committed to the motherland, to make things right, independently and love. He does not love the fatherland, with overpricing, or kickbacks” said the president.

He warned that overpricing and kickbacks affect all Panamanians, in particular about 777 thousand living in multidimensional poverty.

In that context, The president also considered important to seek consensus to improve the education system, citing such that 50% of third graders do not understand what you read, a percentage that rises in the indigenous regions.

With this activity, Panama closes the patriotic festivities began the month 3 November with parades throughout the country to mark the separation of Colombia in 1903.
