Central American countries decree red alert, including Nicaragua, Honduras and El Salvador, for being in high-risk areas before the passage of storm Eta, that has already become a hurricane category 4, according to the National Hurricane Center (NHC) US. In El Salvador this Monday isolated winds were perceived.

Eta is at 120 kilometers southeast of Cape Gracias a Dios which is on the border of the sister countries Honduras and Nicaragua.

Experts predict it will cause constant winds and rain, so they ask the population to secure the roofs of the houses and be alert to any emergency and places of refuge.
