Ong child EDUCO, He launched this week in El Salvador, a guide to media focusing on rights of children and adolescents.
According to data from the United Nations Fund for Children (UNICEF), the 52% Salvadoran children and adolescents suffer “some violence and psychological físcia” in different areas of the country.
“Report responsibly about children and adolescents is essential if we visualize their situation and promote their participation significantly. But nevertheless, an inappropriate approach could lead to a violation of their rights”, said Laurence Cambianica, specialist child protection EDUCO.
With this action, NGO aims to achieve awareness and make alliances with Salvadoran journalists to ensure that children's rights are respected and adolescents.
The publication of this guide, also coincides with the next 30 anniversary of the document to fulfill the objective of the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CDN) of the United Nations, which aims to make visible to children and adolescents as subjects of human rights.
