In the First Plenary Session, Deputy Suecy Callejas from the New Ideas party, requested the dispensation of processing (this means: without any process or study by the Commission and without sending to hear those who will be dismissed, and no faults committed), to an initiative to remove from office 5 regular and alternate magistrates of the Constitutional Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice.
The document entered with 64 votes in favor, with the approval of political parties: New ideas, (NI), Great Alliance for National Unity, (WINS), National Concertation Party (PCN) and Christian Democratic Party, (PDC).
The Center for Legal Studies calls on the International Community to be alert to a coup in El Salvador, according to experts, the request to remove the magistrates of the Supreme Court of Justice is unconstitutional, since it is not only a legislative arithmetic. Legal independence must be respected according to article 172 of the Constitution of the Republic, and the mobility of the magistrates of the Constitutional Chamber as cited in article 174 Y 186 of the constitution.
So too the due process of articles 11 Y 12 as the constitution cites it; separation of powers and limits of the same as stated in the article 186 of the constitution.
This would be the second coup attempt, of the Salvadoran President, after the 9 February 2020 will summon an insurrection. Stop then enter, with military support, a Blue Room of the Legislative Assembly where in a prayer he spoke with God and he asked him for patience.
