US First Lady Melania Trump to Leave Washington, D.C., breaking protocol again, but this time his gesture was not well seen by specialists as it ended with a not very common tradition.

Donald Trump's wife didn't invite Jill Biden, incoming first lady, to take a tour of the presidential residence, something that has been highly questioned by experts in presidential protocol.

Traditionally, the invitation of the first lady to the person who will occupy the residence was a way of welcoming and helping to settle in the family zone, however in the last position taking, Melania Trump, she was invited to visit the residence by Michelle Obama before transitioning to her private residence, when his term ended.

The custom that the outgoing first lady did not follow dates back to 1950, when Bess Truman, President Harry Truman's wife invited her then successor Mamie Eisenhower to the White House.

Melania's decision not to have the gesture of hospitality with Jill Biden was not justified by her team, However, many believe that it is obvious after the controversial departure of Donald Trump.

Likewise, the inauguration will be historic due to the absence of the outgoing president, the circumstances of the confinement by the Covid-19 with the social distancing and the strong deployment of the military in the Capitol.
