Vaccination against the COVID-19 pandemic begins

At the gates of receiving vaccine shipments, Health authorities prepare and enlist the first candidates to be immunized against the COVID-19 pandemic.

From Kalamazoo, Michigan State, Pfizer / bioNTech laboratories headquarters, trucks left this morning, containing the first shipment of vaccines.

There are millions of doses with which it is sought to protect, first, to doctors, nurses, permanent care center workers, among others, considered top priority, as expressed by Alex Azar, Health Secretary.

Likewise, waiting list, but paid in advance, there are the Jhonson laboratories vaccines & Jhonson, Novavax y Sanofi/GSK, as well as AstraZeneca / Oxford.

At the moment, the government has paid some 9.400 million dollars to make sure the entire nation receives, doses between spring and summer of 2021.

The vaccine comes at a time when the pandemic also accelerates infections and deaths around the nation. This weekend, the number of infections reached 5 millions 932 thousand 116 also, 296 thousand 818 deaths.
