INDES rewards efforts of outstanding athletes in international competitions

Through the Effort and Glory program, accompaniment is provided and the path towards the professionalization of national sport is marked.

The Savior – The National Sports Institute of El Salvador (INDES), presented prizes to a group of athletes and their coaches, for the achievements obtained in different international competitions, through the table established in the Effort and Glory program.

Through the Effort and Glory program, accompaniment is provided and the path towards the professionalization of national sport is marked.

INDES President Yamil Bukele, He reiterated that the best investment that can be made is in the youth and in Salvadoran athletes and added that the color of the medal does not matter, but the achievements that the athletes are obtaining and that are contributing to build the desired course for the country.

Among the award-winning athletes are the karate fighters Jorge Merino and Gabriel Izaguirre, who received $3,200, each, for their respective gold and bronze medals obtained in the Central American and Caribbean Karate Championship 2022, and the Pan American Championship 2022. Also the goalkeepers Sofía Paiz, Paola Corado, Camila Alvarenga, Douglas Nolasco and Roberto Hernandez; and the para athlete Herbert Aceituno.
