Inauguran Sunset Park, located in the port of La Libertad

The Savior – This Friday was inaugurated Sunset Park, located in the port of La Libertad, a project financed with resources donated by the People's Republic of China.

The Amusement Park was inaugurated by President Nayib Bukele and the ambassador of the People's Republic of China, Ou Jianhong.

The project is part of the launch phase 2 by Surf City 1 that seeks to encourage tourist attraction for both salvadorans and foreigners, and promote economic growth in the area. It is estimated that the park will receive about a thousand tourists a day.

The Amusement Park was inaugurated by President Nayib Bukele and the ambassador of the People's Republic of China, Ou Jianhong.

The park will open its doors to the public starting this Saturday 27 of August, with a variety of mechanical games, and other attractions.

“Surf City is positioned internationally and it is vital for us. Today we launch Surf City 1, phase 2 which is an investment in its beach circuit and includes a gastronomic plaza, sea ​​market” among others, President Bukele said.

With this project, more than 15 thousand jobs; and only the gastronomic plaza of Puerto de La Libertad has managed to create around 200,000 jobs between direct and indirect.

The president thanked the People's Republic of China, for the support provided for the construction of this new park. He assured that Chinese cooperation “comes without strings attached, always has been: What does El Salvador need?? The only condition is that we remain friends. It is important that this is how international relations are. We want to be an integral part of a world that is growing”.

The Chinese government donated five rides that make up this amusement park.

The Chinese ambassador recalled that both countries “come together to share the pandemic and today they are more united. China and El Salvador have become an example of bilateral relations for development”.
