Gothy López is a Salvadoran visual artist, specialized in drawing, painting, sculpture, engraving and ceramics, has done studies on Artistic Anatomy and Techniques, has taught at different universities in El Salvador.
The artist, more than 20 years of experience in your profession, He has received several awards and has exhibited his works on numerous occasions in Europe and Latin America.
By the end of this November, will have an exhibition in Belgium, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will not be able to be present, however the works are already in the place of exhibition. The event will be organized with the support of the Brussels Embassy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
It should be noted that throughout his career he has had important exhibitions, Among them, Prince Albert of Monaco invited her to exhibit her works at the House of Latin America, also created the work of “Romero Martyr”, This devotion led her to create the portrait of the first Salvadoran Saint, one of these paintings is in the Church of the Blessed Sacrament in Rome and the other belongs to Pope Francis in the Vatican.
Among the great works that add to the Italian ecclesiastical heritage in addition to the paintings of Monsignor Romero, a Saint who has marked and inspired the life of the artist, thus there is also the painting of Maddalena Gabriella of the Marquises of Canossa, who was the founder of the Daughters and Sons of Charity, beatified in 1941 and proclaimed a saint by Pope John Paul II in 1988.
Gothy López has received an award from the Legislative Assembly of El Salvador, as “Distinguished Painter of El Salvador”.
“The fire of charity”, an oil on canvas permanent exhibition in the Basilica Santo Stefano Maggiore (parish of migrants) in the city of Milan, is added to the list of your featured works.
