Renowned Salvadoran announcer Carlos dies “Shotgun” Osorio

This afternoon he died in Washington, U.S, the renowned sports journalist, Carlos “Shotgun” Osorio, after days of being in serious health due to a cancer diagnosis. Hours before, his family asked prayers for the rest of his body, since they expressed “I was very deteriorated”.

He was for many years sports director at Diario CoLatino, and ventured into Salvadoran radio broadcasting in the year 1963 at YSKL station and at 1967 joined the sports team, where he was known as “Teacher” along with other renowned journalists such as Eduardo Esmahan, Raul “The duck” Alfaro, Sergio Rodriguez, Raúl Beltran Bonilla, Francisco Osorio and Carlos Aranzamendi.

With 80 years of life, 57 They were dedicated to the narration of international matches and the Salvadoran first division, with his unmistakable voice, shouting GOOOOOL.

Before his irreparable loss, Congressman Raúl Beltrán Bonilla and former co-worker, requested to the plenary session in the Legislative Assembly, a minute of silence. Also Salvadoran journalists like Fernando Palomo, Carlos Aranzamendi, Francisco Osorio and the FESFUT mourned his death and sent condolences to his family.
