El Salvador remains on red alert

El Salvador remains on a red alert despite the fact that the risk of greater impact due to the effects of the now tropical depression Eta has decreased throughout the national territory.

On the morning of this Thursday, more than a thousand preventive evacuations of people living in high-risk areas had been carried out.

On Wednesday the death of an artisanal fisherman was reported, who did not comply with the measures prohibiting the departure of vessels.

Gusts of strong winds and the humidity of the earth has caused the fall of trees, billboards and poles in various municipalities of the country, plus some houses damaged by falling trees.
