El Salvador strengthen health measures at airports and borders coronavirus

The Government of El Salvador said Thursday that strengthened health measures at airports and borders of the country, because of the outbreak of coronavirus that already registered in the American continent.

But nevertheless, the new measures do not include any restrictions for travelers entering the Salvadoran territory from China or countries in which they were confirmed as cases of the disease, as it was recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO), one day before.

The Salvadoran authorities said the immigration personnel at airports, land borders and seaports loss triggered protocols to the global concern of the outbreak that originated in the Chinese city of Wuhan and already claimed the lives of 20 people.

The new measures include monitoring via temperature sensors, more attention to people who have some alteration or flu symptoms or fever, Special monitoring passengers arriving from affected countries and request history travel if necessary.
