El Salvador gets his second gold Panamericano

With tears in his eyes and raising his hands, Salvadoran Roberto Hernandez reached gold medal, in Archery, at the Pan American Games Lima, Peru 2019 beating 147-146 the world number one, Braden Gallenthien US.

"It's something amazing, I think I have not dimensioned hundred percent but it is very excited and El Salvador deserved ", Hernandez said 17 years of experience in the sport arrows and then sealing the second Pan American gold in the history of El Salvador.

Since 1951, El Salvador participated in 17 editions of the Pan American Games, resulting in 25 medals: 1 of gold, up with Cristina Lopez 2007, 9 silver and 15 made of bronze.

In the beginning, Hernandez became the athlete with the most medals (3) in the Central American and Caribbean Games in Mayagüez 2010 in team mode, and he reached individual gold at the Pan American Archery Championship, from Guadalajara 2010. In addition to obtaining bronze medal at the second World Cup Archery in Shanghai 2019, gold medal and team silver medal at the Central American and Caribbean Games Barranquilla 2018, and silver in the Central American and Caribbean Games, in Veracruz 2014.
