U.S.– President, Joe Biden, and the first lady, Jill Biden, visited Uvalde this Sunday, en Texas,to meet with the families of the victims of the elementary school shooting this week, where they died 19 children and two teachers.

Upon arrival, Biden approached with tears in his eyes to leave a bouquet of flowers with the first lady in the space in tribute to the victims created at the entrance to Robb Elementary School with 21 white crosses. A group of people in the place received them with applause, but on the arrival of the governor of Texas, Greg Abbott, boos were heard.

The presidential couple later toured the space in homage observing in one of the 21 crosses the images of the victims. Then, went to a Sacred Heart church to participate in a mass.

The trip will give Biden a chance to once again ask Congress to pass legislation requiring background checks for all firearms buyers and banning assault weapons and high-capacity magazines..
