Hurricane Fiona hits Bermuda as it moves toward Canada

U.S – The National Hurricane Center US, claimed that Fiona could hit the region as a "large and powerful post-tropical cyclone with hurricane-force winds".

“It will certainly be an extreme historic event for eastern Canada”, Bob Robichaud opined, Canadian Hurricane Center Warning Preparedness Meteorologist.

Fiona regained strength on Friday and became a category hurricane again 4, after hitting Bermuda with rain and strong winds, following a path that, according to forecasts, will bring it close to northeastern Canada during the day as a still powerful meteor.

Fiona is expected to become a massive post-tropical storm, bringing hurricane winds, heavy rain and big waves to the central coast of Canada in the Atlantic. Forecasters said Friday it has the potential to be one of the most severe storms in the nation's history..

Fiona's eye is expected to make landfall on Saturday morning. The Canadian Hurricane Center issued a hurricane watch for large portions of the Nova Scotia coastline., Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland.

Bermuda authorities opened shelters and closed schools and offices before the arrival of the hurricane. Michael Weeks, the minister of national security, said there were no reports of major damage, until closing tonight.

The Atlantic is turning, there are currently four cyclonic phenomena, Tropical depression #9, Hurricane Fiona, Tormenta Tropical Gaston, Tropical Storm Hermine plus a Tropical Disturbance.
