The government hands over the national flag to a Salvadoran parasurfer who will participate in the world championship

The Savior – As part of this dynamic, the representative of the Ministry of Tourism, Francis Hasbún, accompanied the Paralympic Committee in the delivery of the national flag to the parasurfist Jonathan Arias, who will represent El Salvador in the ISA World Para Surfing Championship 2021, to be developed next week.

Jonathan Arias is a prominent Salvadoran adaptive athlete, of 24 years, suffering from paralysis in both legs. He currently has his ticket insured to represent the country in the world championship, paralympic style, organized by the International Surf Association (ISA, for its acronym in English).

This is the sixth edition of the ISA World Para Surfing Championship 2021, which on this occasion will be held from 7 al 11 December in the city of Pismo Beach, located on the central coast of California, between San Francisco and Los Angeles, U.S.

This tournament will allow the national delegation to gain experience and promote the sport on the Salvadoran coasts, that seeks to position itself as a safe destination for the development of international competitions.
