Brazil – A study assures that former President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, who ruled between 2003 Y 2010, has a wide advantage over the current president, far-right Jair Bolsonaro.
The former president has 48% of voting intention, which means that he would be elected president of the country without needing a second round if the elections were today. The survey was released this Tuesday by the Ipec Institute.
Bolsonaro would only receive the 21% of votes, something that is not strange given the deterioration of its image due to the handling of the pandemic and its anti-vaccine and denier policy.
In third place of voting intentions is Sergio Moro, the judge who imprisoned Lula by convicting him of corruption and who also held the position of Minister of Justice, with the 6% of voting intention. Later is Ciro Gomes, with the 5% of votes.
Lula has not yet confirmed his participation in the next elections but admitted that he wants to participate in the elections. He is the undisputed and unbeatable leader in the polls for the elections to be held in October 2022.
