Diana Platero returns to the skating rinks

The Savior – Diana Platero, Salvadoran, Club America Cup Champion, Central American and Caribbean medalist,  has returned to the skating rinks after a pause of 11 years.

But nevertheless, Platero was absent for more than a decade, but it also positioned itself during 12 years in the main sports covers of the media not only national but international, for his outstanding skating career.

Between 1998 Y 2010 Platero has been the highest Central American medalist in the CODICADER games with 33 award, at the America's Cup in Miami (year 2005) got 5 more awards (3 oro, 1 silver and 1 bronze). His specialty is speed and distance tests.

In the 12 years of competition achieved 60 medals (55 oro, 3 silver and 2 bronze), 7 golden spikes, 5 golden eagles from INDES ( National Institute of Sports of El Salvador) 3 recognitions of the Legislative Assembly and other no less important trophies.

The young athlete was born a 26 October 1991 and at the age of 12 years he participated for the first time in a World Cup, that took place in L’Aquila, Italy, competition in which it was positioned in the position 24 in the tie with more than 80 skaters.

Since I was a child I had a clear goal: the skating, making it not just a sport but a passion and a way of life, becoming a worthy representative of El Salvador.

These dreams turned into nightmares, The skater became unmotivated and decided to retire from the sport to dedicate full time to her family due to the physical and mental exhaustion she suffered.

The years went by, and Diana arrives again at the Skateboard by inspiration of her son, Matias, but he didn't resist the temptation and put his skates back on: “I started taking my son to skating classes because he wanted to start doing it, and during that month I started exercising and put on my skates again, and just as I started again I have 3 months and a half of skating "confessed silversmith.

The skater claims to be happy and aware that her return will not be easy; has to meet physical demands, although with work, effort and dedication does not rule out your dream: a global competition, while slowly building that road, but now next to her two children
