David Blanco takes reins of Salvadoran chess

After completing the election process, David Blanco became the new president of the Salvadoran Chess Federation (FSA) for the period 2021-2024.

More than 20 years linked to chess and overcrowding, Blanco bets on decentralizing sports science, the unity of the Federation, the use of technology, continue with the training processes for national coaches, follow the training of a Grandmaster (GM) and bet on a new generation of youth athletes.

The new Board of Directors is structured as follows: David white, President; Giusepe Mejía, vice president;Ingrid Sanchez, Secretary; Nelson Castillo, treasurer; Felix Mira, first vocal and Elisa Castro, second vocal.

Elections were held on Saturday 12 December at the FSA facilities, under strict biosecurity measures, with the presence of the delegate of the National Institute of Sports (INDES) Y 77 assembly members.
