Costa Rica, champion of the INDES Beach Soccer Friendship Trophy

In an emotional match from start to finish, the Costa Rican team defeated 5-4 to the Barra de Santiago and champion of the INDES Football Friendship Cup Barra de Santiago Beach 2021.

The duel got off to a tight start, since both teams did not risk much, until the tico Greivin Pacheco opened the scoreboard, but minutes later Yosimar Martínez tied the actions.

In the second period, the panorama painted the same, but nevertheless, Frank Velásquez appeared to break the tie and put the locals ahead.

But the Ticos did not give up and in a game with claw, Frandert Arrieta managed to put the tie that prevailed until the end of the period.

In the third period, Erick Nájera managed to put Barra de Santiago ahead again. But the Costa Ricans managed to tie again through Francis Palmer.

Henceforth the party turned from clenched teeth, as both teams went on the attack, being the Barra de Santiago the one that concretized, through César Rivera, the goal that put them ahead 4-3.

But nevertheless, at the end of the match Greivin Pacheco scored a double that gave him the agonizing victory (5-4) to the Costa Ricans.

Meanwhile, Guatemala, who came from losing his first games, defeated on the last day 9-6 to Garita Palmera and took third place in the contest.

The Chapin triumph featured Miguel González with three goals, while Leandro Bachez contributed one, William alvarez, Pablo Crocker, Lester González, Christopher González and Luis Carlos Saldaña.

While Garita Palmera discounted Rafael Rizo on three occasions, Jose Mendez, Joel Pérez and Kevin Cortez with one respectively.

La Barra dominoes in women

Meanwhile, the women's team from Barra de Santiago dominated the exhibition matches of the INDES Football Friendship Cup Barra de Santiago Beach 2021.

Today, on the last day, the girls from Barra de Santiago overcame 6-2 to the team of the University of El Salvador (UES), that at times complicated the locals.

The annotations of the Bar were signed by Esmeralda Castro and Alison Pérez on two occasions each; while Reyna Rauda and Fátima Pérez contributed one, respectively. Paola Calderón and Arelí Zabala were discounted by the UES.

In the first two days, the Barra de Santiago defeated 7-4 to the representative of the Costa del Sol and 12-3 to Garita Palmera.
