The chance of being equally affected or dying from the coronavirus is not the same for everyone. New details about how the virus affects patients gradually come to light.

The United States leads an extra battle to control the disease, in the midst of a crisis in which many people, they may unknowingly carry the virus and not develop any symptoms,

In Italy, the majority of patients affected or died by the disease that began to spread around the world last January, is older than 50 years.

But nevertheless, in United States, the mean number of patients affected, is from people under the age of 50 years. Thus, You cannot generalize and say that Covid-19 only affects older adults.

But the common denominator among patients affected with the virus, are pre-existing diseases or chronic conditions, including diabetes, high blood pressure and weak immune system.

Health authorities, in United States, confirmed this week that little more than 20% of people with the disease never develop symptoms. From there, that the spread of the virus in the North American country occurred more quickly.

For this reason, the authorities of the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC for its acronym in English) is that they also suggested this week, that people wear masks and gloves when leaving their homes.

The idea, is that asymptomatic patients are not sources of contamination, because not even they know that they are carriers of the virus.
