U.S – California is about to serve a year in lockdown since March of 2020, following Covid-19, however, Californian Governor Gavin Newsom announced that several counties may gradually begin to reopen starting this month., according to a report from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, (CDC for its acronym in English).
The Bay Area is made up of nine counties, Alameda, Against Coast, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, Saint Matthew, Santa Clara, Solano y Sonoma, which will gradually operate.
All counties that reach the color red can reopen, con grupos reducidos ya sea negocios, schools, gyms, Iglesias, stores, among others, without forgetting that there are some exceptions.
However, biosafety standards cannot be ignored, like hand washing, the use of mask, social distancing, group meeting limitations, because the virus remains in the environment.
It should be noted that the first people to receive vaccines are health employees, babysitters, teachers, law enforcement officers and farm workers, administrative workers, drivers, among others.
This news has left a bittersweet taste, since a sector of the population say they do not agree with the vaccine, and for others they express feeling safe acquiring the vaccine against Covid-19.
As part of the health protocols, some institutions suggest that teachers acquire the Covid-19 vaccine before returning to class, depending on the drugstores they could buy one or two doses per adult person.
This is also how a Bay Area resident was interviewed, Mr. Carlos Menéndez, the father of a San Mateo County student, and said: “I do not agree that teachers or employees of different companies have to be vaccinated to return to their activities, we must eat healthy food, by nature our body has defenses and if we eat well, our body will be immune to diseases” and I add, “better we should worry about taking care of the environment so as not to have so much pollution and reduce the risk of getting sick” thus stated Menéndez.
On the other hand we interview Maria Renderos, she expressed: “I am safer if teachers and administrative staff get vaccinated before returning to work., in this way I am calmer that my daughter is not going to Covid-19 disease”, Renderos emphasized.
The outlook in California looks encouraging, this means that the economy could improve, due to job reopening.
