Spain – Alexia Putellas has monopolized the covers of the main Spanish and world newspapers, after receiving the most prestigious individual award on the planet football, by winning the Golden Ball and be the first Spanish to achieve it.

Putellas, of 28 years, born in Barcelona, has won everything at a collective and individual level in women's football by achieving the historic treble, League, Champions League, Copa del Rey, as well as an extraordinary year in the Spanish team.

The player and captain of Fútbol Club Barcelona won the “The Best” award, that determines her as the best player in the world. The award granted electronically by FIFA has, also, the added value of having been chosen by the football professionals themselves (the added value of having been chosen by the football professionals themselves).
