Rains are expected basically in the afternoons and evenings, with enough intensity; are heavy rains with probability of hail and wind, the behavior of the weather will be similar to what has been seen in recent days in the Salvadoran territory.

“We have the passage of tropical waves from east to west. These clouds bring heavy rain. And we have the contribution of humidity from the Intertropical Convergence Zone, from the Pacific", says the Minister of the Environment Fernando López.

According to reports, there has been rain practically all over the country, so the soils are saturated and there are probabilities of overflow of different rivers.

“We continue to monitor the different phenomena found in the Pacific and the Atlantic that could be affecting the country in the coming days.”, Director of Civil Protection Luis Amaya.

There is a medium probability of overflows in almost the entire upper Lempa basin, the Rio Grande Basin, San Miguel; and in the rest there is a low probability: peace river, Goascoran and Jiboa, authorities detailed.
