65 Indian migrants in Mexico abandoned by a smuggler

The Federal Police of Mexico reported the discovery of 65 migrants of Indian origin who have been abandoned by smugglers in the state of Veracruz, in eastern Mexico.

According to authorities, foreigners were dehydrated and several hours without eating, on a road in Coatzacoalcos, one of the most dangerous cities in the state.

Residents of the area reportedly informed the police of the presence of the people requesting help. Most of the foreigners were male and spoke English.

After rescue, were sent to the National Institute of Migration for their protection.

On the weekend in Veracruz they were arrested 146 Central American migrants, that were transported in a cargo truck. In this event, two alleged human traffickers were arrested.
