U.S – Passed 20 years since the attack on Twin Towers and in recent weeks two more victims were identified, but it is still pending to find the remains of another thousand more people.

The persons identified by the authorities are Dorothy Morgan of Hempstead., a town located in Nassau County in New York. The second identified victim is a man, whose family asked that their name not be revealed, as reported by the office of the city's chief medical examiner in New York.

The victims of the terrorist attack were recognized by DNA tests in an exercise by the US authorities to identify the deceased and give some reassurance to the families who suffered their loss on 11 September 2001.

The forensic doctor, Barbara A. Sampson, He said that he will continue the commitment to fulfill the promise to the families of the victims to identify all of them.

Who was Dorothy Morgan

Dorothy Morgan was a woman of 47 years working as a stockbroker at Marsh & McLennan at the World Trade Center. His body was identified through evidence of remains recovered in 2001, while the man identified by the authorities was recognized by remains recovered until 2006.

The terrorist attack left 2.753 people dead in total and many of them have not yet been identified.

Until today identification has been through DNA testing and a revolutionary new technique called: next generation sequencing.
